Venture Operator – International Expansion
M/F/D | Munich | Remote EU
We offer
- No bullshit work environment
- Launch one country after the next — with a playbook you write yourself
- Personal impact from day one
- Career option to move with the venture into its own company
- Awesome colleagues
- True home office
What you'll do
- Take a live venture into a new market end to end — legal entity, content, partners, first order
- Coordinate the legal and tax setup: entity, VAT, local consumer law, data protection
- Build the translation and native-QA workflow that keeps quality up without adding headcount
- Onboard local service and logistics partners — and hold them to what they committed to
- Turn every launch into a checklist that makes the next market faster and cheaper
- Onboard the venture's fulfillment and service partner locally — together with their country teams
- Check the local logistics setup and adapt the operating concept where the country doesn't fit the template
Your toolkit
- Operational market entry — you've set a country up, not just analysed one
- Legal and tax coordination with external counsel, without becoming a lawyer
- Localisation — translation workflows, native QA, local pricing and competitor feeds
- Partner management — service networks, logistics, local agencies
- Native-level fluency in Italian, French, Spanish or English — plus fluent English
- Contract management — you know what was signed, what renews, and what nobody owns yet
Expansion philosophy
- Every market must add revenue faster than it adds headcount
- Go-live readiness is a gate, not a parallel workstream
- The second country is the exam for the first country's playbook
- Partners commit when you commit — say it clearly or don't say it
- Local means local: native quality or nothing
- Every country breaks one assumption from the template — find out which one before go-live
Requirements
- You've launched or run a market for a commerce or service business
- You work in checklists and hand them over so someone else can run them
- You negotiate with partners on equal footing, without a corporate name behind you
- You're fine with ambiguity, but you close things
- Fluent communication in English
