What you'll do

• Own the financial architecture of new deep tech ventures — from entity setup to first funding round
• Structure convertible instruments, shareholder agreements, and IP carve-outs
• Build investor-ready business cases and financial models that survive due diligence
• Manage relationships with VCs, family offices, corporate investors, and public funding bodies
• Navigate grant programs (EXIST, INVEST, EIC, HTGF) and turn them into real runway

Your toolkit

• Financial modeling — DCF, scenario analysis, cap tables. Excel is your second language.
• Deal structuring — convertible notes, SAFEs, priced rounds, SPV mechanics
• Legal coordination — you work with lawyers, not wait for them
• Public funding — German and EU grant landscape. You know what's out there.
• Investor relations — pitch prep, data rooms, term sheet negotiation

Requirements

• You've structured venture or startup financing before — not just analyzed it
• You understand German and EU funding instruments inside out
• Comfortable sitting between founders, lawyers, and investors
• Startup, VC, or venture building experience is a must
• Fluent communication in English and German
